  • What is the strength and hardness of SeaStone Microcement?

    Despite the minuscule thickness, one of the most important properties of SeaStone microcement is its high resistance and hardness; SeaStone Medium and Fino can even be used in high traffic areas.

  • What substrate can SeaStone microcement be applied to?

    SeaStone Microcement can be applied to almost any type of substrate: cement mortar, leveling compound, terrazzo, marble, tile, plasterboard or plaster, on both vertical and horizontal surfaces in indoor and outdoor areas.

  • Can SeaStone microcement be combined with underfloor heating?

    Yes, but prior to application a firing protocol should be performed to prevent expansion caused by rapid temperature changes in the floor from cracking the microcement itself.

  • Is SeaStone microcement waterproof?

    SeaStone microcement is inherently water resistant. The use of a sealer and coating ensures the watertightness, the last stage is essential. Therefore, SeaStone microcement can be applied to sinks, countertops, bathtubs or wet areas, but the surface should always be sealed with SeaStone 2-comp. PU coating (polyurethane) to guarantee watertightness.

  • What are the differences between microcement and polished concrete?

    Although the finish looks practically the same, it is not the same.

  • How much time does it take?

    Application of SeaStone Microcement can be performed over a period of three to five days. This of course depends on the work. To walk on the surface, one would normally have to wait a week.

  • Do doors need to be shortened?

    No, it is not necessary. By applying microcement, 1 to 3 mm extra thickness is created over the surface. Usually the free space with which the doors are placed is 5 mm from the ground, so there is sufficient space and the doors do not need to be planed.

  • How do I clean it?

    To ensure a long and durable life of our microcements, we recommend the use of water and neutral soap. You can think of green soap.
