SeaStone Bathrooms

The qualities of SeaStone microcement really come into their own in bathrooms and wet areas. Because microcement is waterproof and can be applied to a variety of surfaces, with microcement you have no joints or grout lines making it super hygienic and easy to clean. You do not even need to make special preparations in wet areas, but it is recommended to smooth out the plasterboards with, for example, Ardex or SeaStone Plastic XL. Make sure your surfaces are stable and we'll take care of the rest. Of course we can also take care of the preparation. It is no surprise that we have seen a huge increase in the number of customers using SeaStone microcement in their bathrooms. And with endless colors to choose from, the possibilities are endless.

Does microcement stain?

Not our microcement! We use a product specifically designed for use in wet areas in all our bathrooms. It is completely waterproof even before it is sealed. You can even leave wet bottles on the surface and it won't affect the product, sounds obvious but trust us, there are few microcement brands that can make this claim.

Can you apply microcement over tiles?

By placing microcement directly on tiles, we can give your bathroom a completely new look without the mess and hassle of removing the existing tiles. And if you've ever tried to remove tiles, you'll really appreciate this ability. The only thing we have to check is that the tiles are properly glued, so no loose tiles. To facilitate the work, it is advisable to first level the tiles with a cement-bonded material.
Of course you can also perfectly combine SeaStone microcement with tiles, this is one of our favorite looks. We just need to work closely with your tiler to make sure the levels are right before they start tiling, and then you can transition seamlessly from tile to microcement whichever way you choose.
