Microcement tools and accessories: everything you need

Choosing microcement tools is an important factor that determines the final effect we want to achieve. High quality microcement tools and accessories can help you get the most out of your microcement projects. Our selection of items including Venetian spatulas, rollers and masking tapes and more can do much more than just help improve your results. They can make the whole job easier, faster, and ultimately more satisfying.

venetian spatula

What do you use to apply decorative concrete plasters and microcement? Can the same spatulas be used for floors and walls? Which spatula should I choose? The basic tool for microcement is a stainless steel trowel. We use it to shape the microcement and give it the ultimate look. The microcement spatula is usually shorter than the smoothing trowel, which makes it easier for us to create patterns. In principle, you can use the same spatula for walls and floors, although it does depend on what you prefer to work with.

The Venetian spatula we recommend ensures maximum comfort when applying microcement to horizontal and vertical surfaces, in both small and large spaces. The blade has round tips and a beveled edge. The extremely smooth underside of the plate is made of very durable steel, which guarantees the durability of the spatula and guarantees the corrosion resistance. The handle is light, durable and ergonomic.

Important: to be able to use the spatula for a long time, wash it well with warm water after every job. With a larger surface it is sometimes advisable to clean the spatula in between.

masking tape

Painter's tape is used to protect smooth surfaces during microcement processing/working. It is used to protect window frames and door frames and to trim colors and individual walls. First of all, the tape must be durable (not tear), adhere well to the surface and leave no traces.

The yellow masking tape guarantees the highest quality at a reasonable price. Made of strong, light crepe paper, impregnated with a UV layer. The tape uses an innovative system to cover the carrier with Solvent glue (natural rubber), which results in a perfect adhesion to the surface and ensures that nothing goes under, the tape does not stick and does not leave behind any traces of glue. In addition, natural rubber offers the possibility to be used in all conditions and is adapted to low and high temperatures (it can be used both indoors and outdoors).

Microfibre roller

The importance of the quality of the rollers is often underestimated. It seems that these are important tools that differ only in the size and length of the bristles ... wrong! A good roller is the key to success. We apply it to the last layer of the microcement system, and a poor quality roller can spoil everything. What is the best roller for sealing or coating microcement? The best is a microfibre roller with a bristle length of 8 mm. Using rollers with both shorter and longer bristles may result in unwanted stains or roller marks.

The rollers we recommend for the application of sealers and coatings include:

optimal material consumption cover the entire surface evenly with sealer does not leave "fluff" on the surface, do not create dust they can be used for polyurethane sealers, both water-based and solvent-based
