Our natural wallcovering

A rich choice of flowers, alpine grasses and natural colors characterize the different surfaces. Give your room a special atmosphere with the natural scent of flowers and grass. The self-adhesive strips of glued hay and flower mixtures allow quick and easy processing. If there are increased demands on wear resistance or water resistance, the natural surfaces can be oiled or varnished.

Ideal as wall and object design for restaurants, wellness hotels or creative shop design.

These grasses are mowed by hand at an altitude of about 1700 m. Only natural and authentic raw materials are used. During production, attention is paid to ecological and sustainable production. All binders are free from biocides, plasticizers and solvents.

The success of the bonding largely depends on the condition and professional preparation of the substrate.

The basic rule is: The substrate must be dry, stable, level, absorbent, clean, smooth and sufficiently level for the intended wall covering.

More about our Alpine grass

"With its slight honey-like sweetness, the multi-layered fragrance conveys a sense of the fragility of high alpine nature, but also of the freshness and coolness of the nearby glaciers." Thomas Bluth, connoisseur

The raw material for the decorative wall coverings grows on the steep mountain slopes of the Tyrolean Oberland. The sunny slopes of Fliess provide the best growing conditions for the species-rich and fragrant alpine grass. To dry the grass into fragrant and fluffy hay, you need knowledge of wind and weather from different generations, a good sword, stamina and condition to work on steep terrain.

After mowing, the grass is spread loosely on the ground and left for 1 to 2 days, depending on temperature and wind. It must be turned and shaken several times. If it then “feels right”, the farmer carries it in the mogulkraxe 250 m to the forest path. There it is loaded onto a tractor.

For further processing, the hay is cleared of stones and branches through sieves with different lines and then ground.
